Renaud Family Reunion 2007 (Aug 17/18/19)

So this past weekend Troy and I attended his family reunion. The reunion was located at the Skookumchuk camp grounds. It was great-all of Troys cousins/aunts/uncles were there and we had a blast-everyone drank a little too much on Friday night and slept in on Saturday morning. I was awoken by a head shaking and repetative "how's your head" in my ear:) There were plenty of activities that everyone took part in: Meals/Horse Shoes/Botchie/Water Fight/River Dunking... It was hard to believe by Sunday that it was all over-it went by far too fast. The Renaud Family began with Romeo and Lorrette and continued on into the Johnstone's with the youngest of their children Rose and son-in-law, Bud-Troys Grandma & Grandpa on his Mom's side.

Visit with Dayten

Troy and I were given the great news of a new nephew on June 18th/2007. He was in and out of the hospital quick and we were able to visit him at home. Here he is 5 days old. We haven't taken any photos of him recently-so we're going to have to get some more photos soon:) Dayten is very precious and cute. When he has a bath-his cry sounds like a machine gun. We really enjoy going to visit Datyen-and we often "wake the bear".

Visit in Rossland July 8-9/07 Part 1

This is our neice Kirah. She's an active little lady. She really took a liking to Troy-but did allow me to walk her around the house a bit. She's nearly 9 months old and I can't believe how she's grown since we last saw her. She likes to stick out her tongue-wear her cool green sunglasses and motor around in her car:)

Visit in Rossland July 8-9/07 Part 2

Troy and I were able to come down to Rossland to hang out everyone. We didn't get to see Kirah for long before they had to head back home. I also thought that we were the last ones in the house-and like a city person-I locked the door.... Turns out the following morning we found out that we weren't the last ones home and we (and when I say we-I mean I) accidently locked out Amanda-so we had a pretty good chuckle about that. On the Sunday Dorothy, her Nephew, Troy and I all went to Le Roi (the locals say it-Leroy) Mine for a tour. It was great-we had an excellent tour guide and the mine was only 6 degrees-so that was a very nice change from the temperatures on the outside of the mine. We also were able to try a little gold panning to boot:)

VOR Tower Quad Trip-July 3/2007

So we all thought that enough time would have passed and we could make it up to the VOR Tower-and we did. It was a great view! 360 Degrees. We had all decided to go a little further on the trail up to a lake that we had heard about. We nearly made it there-but.. we had to turn around beacuse there was too much snow!-in July! We found out the name of the lake, Hoot Lake. It's way up in the mountains in a little bowl big enough for the lake, it's also only accessable by foot. So after all of that we headed back down. It was a fun day and in the end we all came home witn sunburns:)
